The 17th edition of Euro, which Germany will host in its stadiums until next July 14, begins today, Friday, with the participation of 24 teams.
The kickoff will be from the Allianz Arena in Munich, when the hosts face Scotland in the opening match.
The two teams are in Group A, next to Switzerland and Hungary.
The two teams are expected to enter the match with the following formation, according to the official UEFA website:
Germany: Neuer – Kimmich – Rudiger – Tah – Mittelstadt – Andrich – Kroos – Musiala – Gundogan – Wirtz – Havertz.
Scotland: John – Ralston – Porteous – Hendry – Tierney – Robertson – McTominay – Gilmour – McGregor – McGinn – Adams.
This is Germany’s 14th participation in the Euro, and its best results were winning the title 3 times, a record shared equally with Spain.
As for Scotland, it appears in the Euro for the fourth time, after the 1992, 1996 and 2020 editions, all of which were eliminated from the group stage.
